On the 7th February the second extended Steering Committee meeting of the project “Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network” was held in Ivano-Frankivsk. The meeting was attended by the representatives of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, Ivano-Frankivsk City Council and Executive Committee, the Association "Ecologic", Satu Mare Chamber of Commerce (Romania), Szamos-bazár Association (Hungary) and Kosice Regional Chamber of Commerce, as well as experts in the field of tourism, restaurant business and food production, representatives of educational institutions.


During the meeting the applicant and the partners presented the main results of the project. The initiators of the Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network developed a common development strategy and criteria for Network certification program; selected the Network logo and prepared the instructions how to use the logo (brand); prepared "Carpathian Culinary Tours" , the complete travel service packages for each of the four countries, interviewed around 700 local businesses, educational and non-governmental organizations of four project target countries as for their vision of the network and identifying problems and difficulties in the development of traditional food  and tourism.

The meeting was a good platform for announcing the starting of the International Carpathian Culinary Heritage Festival, the event that is designed to combine the potential of communities, local government and state authorities to promote the cultural identity of the Carpathian regions.
