Ivano-Frankivsk awaits a new culinary feast
Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network launches the transborder competition of culinary proficiency for educational institutions of Carpathian regions. The event will take place on November 29-30th, 2013, in Technical School of Restaurant Service and Tourism of National University of Food Technologies in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine.
The main goals of the The Carpathian Culinary Heritage Competition are to promote the potential of traditional cuisine for hotel, restaurant and tourism industries; to identify and demonstrate the students’ skills and their professional potential as future employees in the gastronomic and tourism sectors, as well as the level of practical experience, mastership and professionalism of their teachers.
Our people on “Gourmet fest”
On June 22 took place "Gourmet Fest" in Slovakian city Kosice, attended by representatives of Tourist Association of Ivano-Frankivsk region in order to get acquainted with the organization of the event and examine the possibilities for Food Festivals funding.
Organizers of the festival were Kosice Visit-center and City Hall of Kosice. Mayor of the city took an active part in organization and holding of the festival. Event also gathered a large number of commercial sponsors.
The Carpathian Culinary Festival was held
The event that was very much expected by all project partners and festival organizers walked through the restaurants located downtown Ivano-Frankivsk, blushed with the bright show in the square in front of town hall, generously served the participants and guests with Carpathian mushroom soup, Hungarian and Romanian "palinka", good wine from Slovakia, Carpathian cheese, honey, herbs and Stanislaviv (old name of the city of Ivano-Frankivsk) jam. Kids from the morning and nearly till six in the evening played at the "eco-farm" and their parents took part in the delicious workshops.
Carpathian culinary heritage network logo competition
Tourist Association of Ivano-Frankivsk region together will its project partners invites professional designers, artists, representatives of public organizations and legal entities and all creative people to take part in the Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network logo competition.
The main goal of the Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network is to reinforce the cultural identity of the Carpathian target regions as tourist destinations and promote the individuality of each region through the prism of culinary heritage (Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network). A fundamental aspect of this competition is the creation of the logo with consideration of the role and meaning of the Carpathian Culinary Heritage.
International Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network festival will be held in may 2013 and calls for cooperation
Public organization Tourist Association of Ivano-Frankivsk (TAIF), Executive Committee of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council and Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration launched the preparation of the International Carpathian Culinary Heritage Festival that is scheduled for the town day on May 10-11, 2013.
The project «Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network» is officially launched
Starting from April 2012 the implementation of the cross-border project “Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network” that is co-financed by the European Union within the framework of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENPI Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 has started. The Action covers the territory of Ivano-Frankivsk region in Ukraine, Maramures and Satu Mare Counties in Romania, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County in Hungary and Kosice Region in Slovakia. The project implementation will last till February 2014. Public organization Tourist Association of Ivano-Frankivsk Region (Ukraine) is the project executor.
The Steering Committee meeting of the project “Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network”
On the 7th February the second extended Steering Committee meeting of the project “Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network” was held in Ivano-Frankivsk. The meeting was attended by the representatives of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, Ivano-Frankivsk City Council and Executive Committee, the Association "Ecologic", Satu Mare Chamber of Commerce (Romania), Szamos-bazár Association (Hungary) and Kosice Regional Chamber of Commerce, as well as experts in the field of tourism, restaurant business and food production, representatives of educational institutions.
Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network will from now link five transborder regions
Starting from April 2012 Tourist Association of Ivano-Frankivsk Region will launch the Action “Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network”. The Action will be financed by the European Union within the framework of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENPI Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013.
Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network is identified with the logo
Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network logo competition is finished. The talented designers from Ukraine, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia competed together. The winning designer became Mr. Sergiy Rymar from Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine who has introduced the stylized image of the cooking pot/crock as the network’s logo. The logo-winner identified by the international competition committee among several dozens of different entries is presented below:
